2015 North American International Auto Show Day 2 Wrap-up

We had another full day on Tuesday at the 2015 North American International Auto Show at the Cobo Center in Detroit, Michigan. There were less press conferences and unveilings so this allowed us to wander around more and see a lot more vehicles and exhibits. We even got to drive some simulators but we'll save that for another article as we got some great first-person high-definition footage of them in use.

Infiniti unveiled their gorgeous Q60 concept. In 2016, a model based heavily upon this concept will go into production.

Lexus unveiled their 2016 GSF performance sedan in a gorgeous blue paint scheme. Also unveiled was their RCF GT3 racecar.

Ram unveiled their 1500 Rebel. This truck will be available only in a quad-cab 6' box configuration with 4x2 or 4x4 available. Engines will include the 3.6L V6 and 5.7L Hemi.

Jaguar now has a manual transmission option available on their 2016 F-Type coupe. This transmission is paired soley to the 3.0L supercharged V6 in RWD form.

Mini had a stunning Superleggera concept on display.

One of the more ridiculous things we found was a Kia K900 performance edition that had a 650hp 5.0L V8 with two rear mounted turbochargers.

It's got a HEMMMEHHHHH!!!!!! The Dodge Challenger Hellcat was there and just as ridiculous as ever. Over 700hp with a starting MSRP of $59,995. We got to pop the hood on this beast and were very surprised to see that all the scoops on the vehicle were actually functional and not just there for looks.

Buick unveiled their first convertible in quite awhile the 2016 Cascada.

Buick also had a really nice looking large concept sedan called the Avenir

Some tweeting of the Buick Cascada on Twitter brought an awesome trolling response from Nissan too!

We ventured over to Chevrolet where we found a really high-tech demonstrator for the 2015 Tahoe. Utilizing the Occulus Rift 3D system the user was immersed into fully rendered Tahoe interior as the video took you through all the safety features. The weirdest part was looking down where your legs would be in the seat and not seeing anything there.

While over in the Chevy area we peeked under the hood of the new Camaro Z/28 too.

And we got some more shots of the new Chevrolet Volt. We're really digging the interior.

We made it over to Toyota to get a few more shots of the new 2016 Tacoma that was introduced on Monday. While we were there we got some more shots of the FT-1 concept that was debuted at the auto show last year in Detroit.

We made it over to Acura after trying for the last day and a half to get better photos of the NSX. FINALLY there was a smaller group there and they were letting journalists get into the car and play around a bit. This is just a phenomenal car and we can't wait to see these out in the wild.

With the crowds dying now we also swung by Ford to get some more photos of the new Raptor, GT, and GT350R.  All of these vehicles features Ford's gorgeous Liquid Blue paint scheme which, for the time being, is not scheduled to go on any production vehicles. For you mustang EcoBoost fans we snapped some photo's of the 2.3L EcoBoost motor under the hood of a Mustang while we were at it too.
